current with the sentence at present being served. James Edwin Lai tig, theft as a Government servant at Kaetilii, convicted and ordered to come up for sentence if called upon. His Honour remarked the offences had been committeed under great stress. Laing to pay medical expenses for his wife, who during the past four and a half years has undergone six or seven serious operations. The condition of his wife’s health must have been a sort of nightmare to him said His Honour, and sufficient almost to drive Laing into insanity.
