DARING ROBBERY

WELLINGTON, June 18
Within full view of the passers by, a daring robbery took place in the heart of the city between six and seven last evening, when for the third time in twelve months, an entrance was forced into the shop of Alex and Company, jewellers and watchmakers, Farisli Street, and fine diamonds and watches were stolen. A hole off aboiit two inches square was cut in the thick plate glass of the doorway dose to the handle. Several motor cars were parked in the vicinity round about the time the burglary took place, and con side rering the number of people who use the street it is difficult in the circumstances to imagine that the thieves not seen.
