TEES ARRIVED FROM CHATHAM

ISLANDS

CHRISTCHURCH, June 14

The steamer Tees arrived at Lyttelton late yesterday afternoon after a very stormy trip from the Chatham Islands.

The vessel experienced exceedingly rough weather while at the Islands, and on the return trip took over 04 hours. Contrary to expectations the outward trip from Lyttelton to the islands was made in moderate

weather, and the Tees, which leit Lyttelton on the Wednesday afternoon, arrived at the Islands on the Friday afternoon after a smart passage. Those on board are at a losis to account For the reports which stated that the vessel was a week overdue.
