THE HINDERBURG
ATTEMPT TO RAISE BATTLESHIP

LONDON, June 3/3.
A second attempt is being made to raise the Hindenburg at Scapa Flow. It' it is accomplished, it will create a record for warship salvage with a displacement of 28,000 tons, length 750 ft. and beam of 96 t. The Hindenburg is 75ft. deep in a rocky bed. The first attempt failed because the list could not be controlled. Six hundred tons of concrete are being used in a case
mi the port side which is expected to steady the hull when lifting begins. Thus far twenty-nine vessels have been raised.
In addition to the Hindenburg there are still fifteen of the German fleet on the bottom.
