AUCKLAND, June 12. : ;j “TTo feared the charge that wu were inquiring into. It was suicide by 'gas' poisoning.'” This was the verdict by Coroner Hunt at the inquestheld this afternoon on William Patrick Lennox, aged '47 years, or Takapuna, who was found dead m the. kitchen of his home about June Ist. Bobert Shaw, a neighbour of Lennox, said that in view of a complaint made by bis wife about Lennox, be. went to Lennox’s bouse on the afternoon of May 31. The blinds wore pulled down, and the house was h eked up. There was a smell of gas about the place. Folioving a complaint, Detective Alison and Cove-table Woods went to Lennox’s bouse about midday on June 1. 1 bey found the place locked up. When they im-ood their way in, they. found 1 ennox dead. An envelope was fonn-A will “not guilty..’ scrawled over it. Lennox had been Lying filipnp. His wife, was in Dunedin. . '■/.■
