The sale of the art treasures belonging to the late Dr Figdor, attracted connoisseurs from all parts of the world. Thirty-six pieces of fifteenth century tapestry fetched prices totalling £57,500. of which a Tournai Gobelin, measuring lift, by 121 t., and representing <1 lnw court scone, \\«is bought for the Copenhagen Museum for £20,300. Even a piece of Persian carpet 6ft. by 4j-ft. sold at £3.780. The late Dr Figdor’s pictures will be sold in Berlin in the autumn.
