LATE RT. HON. R. J. SEDDON

WELLINGTON, June iO.

On- the occasion of the twentyfourth anniversary of the death of the Rt. Hon. It. J. iScddoii, friends and Party supporters of the departed statesman gathered this afternoon around the Seddon Statue in the grounds of Parliament House to pay tribute to his memory. Amongst those present were the Prime Minister (the Hon. G. W. Forbes) and members of his Cabinet and other 1110111Itei's of Parliament. A large wreath was placed, on the"’ statue this moniingiiion behalf of Air Seddon’s widow, and others which were deposited later were from the Prime Minister and his colleagues, and the Rt. Hon. Sir Joseph Wapd and family; Speaking on bchall of his colleagues and the-people of Now Zealand, Air Forbes "isaid they all recognised the work Air Reddon had clone during his term of office. It was work of lasting benefit to the whole of. the Dominion.
