Australia next meets Italy in the semi-final of the European zone. • Hopman made a splendid recovery to win the last two sets and thus clinch a win. for Australia in a good match, Crawford outplayed Gregory. 6 MADRID, Jun* 9, At Barcelona in the Davis Cup Haradav (Japan) beat Juanico (Spain) Q —o, 6 —3, 6—3. Japan : now meets Czeoho-Slovnkia in the semi-final. • 1 BRUSSELS, June 9. In the Belgian championships final Borotra beat Cochet in 5 sets.
