ATLANTIC FLIGHT

LONDON, June 8
The Air Ministry’s night report proved to he unfavourable regarding the Atlantic conditions for the Southern Cross flight to America. The plane which was waiting in the Cnrriigli of Kildare (Ireland) in readiness to start to-day, was therefore flown hack to Baldonncl Aerodrome.

Dr Kimball, the Federal Meteorologist, of New York, has announced That the chart of the North Atlantic indicated that if the Southern Cross ;departed pn./its. trans-a Atlantic flight within the next fprtv-eiglit hours, the machine would encounter. , much had flying weather, some danger and a great deal of trouble on the last half of the flight, over the-.ocean and; along the New England coast.
