Following a very hearty round o'f applause, Mr Leadley answered questions regarding pensions, and advisee! those who were turned down by the War Pensions Board because of red tape regulations to take their cases to the Appeal Board, and Mr "Wilcox. Secretary of the Christchurch Club, would give the applicants personal assistance when they went before the Board. The President moved a very cordial vote of thanks to Mr Leadley for his inspiring address. The moftion was seconded by Mr Armstrong and carried by acclamation. Mr Leadley appealed for an increased local membership, and all present not enrolled already .joined up with the Returned Soldiers’ Association.
