LONDON, June 5
The Cambridge tragedy has led to considerable newspaper publicity concerning University life. The revelations being made are amazing. The freedom of the undergraduates concerned is causing anxiety among their parents. Pertinent questions as to the conduct of Cambridge University are being asked, the chief of which is:—“ls the discipline too lax?” There are no compulsory hours of study, and no compulsory games, while the attendance at chapel lifts mostly fallen into disuse.
