EIGHTEEN LIVES LOST

. LONDON, June 2. Eighteen lives were lost in the wreck of the steamer Inger, with which the steamer Literno collided. The Litoriio picked up two survivors ol the Inger’is crew of twenty-one.
An Eastbourne lifeboat rescued a third, member of the crew, a youth after lie 1 had been for five hours astride one of tlie upturned limits. The survivors related that the Inger was struck amidships in darkness and driving rain. She sank in ten minutes, and the crew was unable to launch the boats. , The Literno’s hows were damaged, hut she did not require assistance.
