REPORTED NEW PARTY
(By Telegraph—Per Press Association
WELLIXGTOX, June 4
An announcement in the Chiistcluirch Times’’ that steps arc being taken to form a new political body to be known as the Independent Reform Association with P. Perrin as organiser, was referred to A. K. Marnier (Dominion Secretary of the Reform League). He said: “It is the first I have heard of any such movement. I have no idea of who Perrin is, and 1 would like to know the names of the other members of Hie organisation.' 1 know nothing whatever about it.” There is a disinclination in Wellington political circles to take the announcement seriously. Christchurch has rather a reputation just now m the matter of new parties, and in other parts of the Dominion there have been announcements of which nothing moie is heard.
