A cloudburst over Kangaroo Valiev on the south coast caused widespread damage. Long stretches of the permanent wav have been washed out, due to flood water and land sides. cattle sent hurtling down gorges, by the force of the storm waters. - The homes of two fanners were cut off \by eight feet of waiter and as it was ‘dill rising they took a desperate chance and swam with the womenfolk to safety.

Two feet of water flooded Pieton and Warwick farm. Three hundred cars were trapped in three feet of water and motorists were carried off in boats.
