WILBERFORCE HUT
It will be recalled that some little time ago an appeal was made for local contributions towards the cost ot erecting the above, the movement; having been initiated through the Chris tchurcir'framping Club. . The members of that body were anxious to. see a hut played on tile upper Wilberforce, where a necessary shelter is required for those crossing east or west. It is intended' also, as a utilitarian memorial to;t|iope young men who lost , their lives a ’ few months ago, and who might ,ijot» T have taken the risk they didf ha&vSthere been reasonable shelter on the Canterbury side. A Some- local-contributions have been received towards the object in view, and it will be necessary shortly to close the list. This will serve to advise any’who may have overlooked their intended contributions, , which mnv be "sent to the “Guardian” Office. '
