COST' OF COAL STRIKE. The cost of the coal strike in New South Waies was estimated by the Melbourne Argus in April, as £5,250,000 in wages and £7,500,000 in production. To these amounts must be added the loss in other industries affected by the strike—which niust be considerable. The total cost to the country is variously estimated at from fifteen to twenty millions.
