DISPUTE WITH DEPARTMENT,
NAPIER, May 30,
Work on the Kotermaori tunnel on the East Coast railway line about 30 miles from Napier H held up through a dispute between the tuuneilers at the north end and the Publico Works Department, If : ia understood tin* trouble lias been caused through the employment of a man who was ,oncc injured on railway construction work, and was paid compensation by the Department. Pumping operations have ceased, and the tunnel is said to h< in danger of flooding unless the trouble is soon settled.
