GRAFT CHARGES
AGAINST CHICAGO POLITICIANS

NEW YORK, May 29
A message from ( hieago states that the city’s newest, if not greatest scandal came to light to-day with the indictment of ten prominent political figures. Frauds involving a million dollars are charged against them, and the items thereunder are:—A thousand dollar street lamp for a certain Boulevard, excessive expenditure on a million dollar bridle path for which four hundred thousand dollars was spent Ter cinders (the path actually remains unused), unlawful and unauthorised expenditure of hundreds o' thousands of dollars in sums of five hundred dollars to escape a law providing for competitive bidding wherelarger than five hundred dollars outlavs are involved, and extensive pay role padding.
