BRITISH OPPOSITION.

LONDON, May 29

- The committee of' Imperial Defence bus again decided'against the Channel Tunnel.

The Air Force particularly opposes the tunnel on the ground tlmt it would mean additional strategic points to he guarded in war time. The Cabinet has'th'e deciding voice, but the “Daily' Herald’s” lobbyist states he will not be surprised if the scheme is rejected.
