It is scmi-oflicially stated tlie King's ailment is progressing and His Majesty is able to spend a, consitlera>.le time in the warm sunshine in the PJace grounds.
QUEEN HOLDS COURT
LONDON, May 23
Tlie Queen held court .alone, tlie Prince of "Wales escorting her to the throne. She wore a gown of gold brocade, embroidered with gold and coloured stones, with diamante. Her train was of tine Indian cloth of gold.

RUGBY, May 28
A definite improvement is reported to-day in the condition of the King, who is suffering from painful localised rheumatism of the right hip. His Majesty is receiving massage treatment under the direction of his physician, Lord Dawson. It is announced that the King will be unable to accompany the Queen when she attends the Royal military tournament to-morrow.
