The Press Association has received! the following unsigned message from Suva: “Oceanic Press broadcasted yesterday evening, that Fiji Islands were severely shaken by an earthquake at noon to-day. The Mission schooner was dismasted entirely, the schooner Veilomani foundered, and the schooner. Mntqp, was damaged. Ifc was the most, severe shock since 1913. This is absolutely, misleading. The earthquake yesterday did not damage the auxiliary Mission schooner. The Veilomani was dismasted earlier in tb<3 morning owing to. a rotten mast„ in a squall and did, lipt founder. The schooner Motau was stranded on the reef three weeks ago. The ’quake twenty seconds. Please correct the mistake.
