VESSELS ASHORE

AUCKLAND, May 27. During a heavy gale the schooner yacht “Vision” was driven ashore, but she was refloated later by means of a launch. A number of other small craft were also driven ashore.

‘A large tree was blown down in the Domain, wrecking a car parked beneath it. The owner was inside the Domain Kiosk having 'lunch at the time.
