Two other girls passengers also received concussion and shock. Both bf the cars \yere badly smashed. * ■ “
Jn another case a light car, driven by D. C. Candish, and a heavier one driven by J. H. Moody collided at an intersection. The light car landed upside down on the footpath', and the two occupants miraculously escaped with only slight cuts. A two-year-old child, Lester Gates, received severe heacl injuries iii-a collision at Tariki. He is in the hospital, and is improving. Several other accidents are reported, but the personal injuries are only slight. A heavy ear belonging to F. P. RUNAWAY CAR
AUCKLAND, May 25
A motor-car ran away in Archhill and crashed over a ten foot bank. A woman and three children, who were in the car, were injured, one of them, Ronald Dean, aged 18 months, is in the hospital in a serious condition. Airs Deiin and children were waiting in. the car for Air Dean to drive, when evidently, one of the children released the brakes. The car ran away and was wrecked.
