THE WING FORWARD.

MR BAXTER’S STATEMENT

(By Telegraph—Bresa Association)

AUCKLAND, May 26

Mr J. Ameil. President of the Auckland Rugby "Union, said: “I think Mr Baxter must have forgotten himself.” The statement is altogether too sweeping and tantamount, to accusing some of the most prominent men in New Zealand, who once played wing-fonvard of being cheats. Mr Baxter was illadvised to make such a charge.
