The United Party caucus to select a new loader commenced at 1.0.30 a.m., all members of. the party being present except Mr Fletcher, who was not invited. It is understood that each aspirant to the leadership will address the caucus on policy questions, after which a vote will he taken. It is not anticipated the ballot will be reached until well on in the afternoon.
