The Sub-Union met at 8 pun. Present: Messrs M. M. Coulson (Chairman), Cutbush, Stafford, McGregor, Breeze, Cooper, .McDonald, Dow oil. Lawn, and Heeiutn. The absence cf Mr S. Moore was apologised for. The minutes were confirmed and outward correspondence approved.
FIXTURES
SATURDAY. MAY 24th. SENIORS. Kiwis v. Excelsiors, a 3'pun. .Mr J. Mora).
JUNIORS
Kiwis v. Ross, at Ross, at i pun (Mr J. C'oudson).
Excelsiors v. Rimu, at Hokitika, at 3 pun. (Mr D. lleenaii).
THIRD GRADE. Town v. Kokatsihi, at Hokitika, at 1.30 pun. (Mr A. Cutbush). IN WARD COR DESPONDENCE.
From Arahnra Club .nominating a third grade team. —Received. From J. "Griffiths’'applying to have suspension lifted.—Received and resolved to forward application to M est Coast Rugby Union for consideration. J, Keller, H. Broadbent and D. Breeze were reclassified as juniors.
The application of B. S. Kempton to be reinstated ■to Rugby was sent on to the West Coast Rugby Union with a recommendation. A Grounds Committee of three was appointed to select grounds when the* two grounds are required. Referees to clear centre of Square, when both grounds are being used. Mr J. Mora (referee) reported the ordering off of a Ross player (A. Wright) last Saturday. -Received. The player to he severely cautioned.
It was resolved to advise country teams that they have to pay the expenses of visiting referees. Hewlett and "Mason were gi anted permission to play for Arahnra, provided Rimu Club does not object.
Selectors were appointed as follows: Seniors:—D. jR, Dowell, F. McGregor, and R. McDonald. Juniors:—J. Mora, J. Stafford and J, Cooper. It was rqsolved to write to Mr A. A. Adams, President of the West Coast Rugby Union, wishing him a speedy recovery to good health.

Gibbons is a product of New Plymouth Boy’s High School. He is only 19 years of , age. He captained the High Slu-00l team last year, after gaining his cap three, seasons before. His first appearance for Wanganui was last year, when he was still at school. He played against the strong Wairarapn team during the vacation, opposi■ „■ «. \\h.) had great praise to ok or regarding his ability.
The Uritidi team is a strong one, despite the fuel that Spong and Basset a:x\ mis/fig.
■ The iir.Li.s!) team indulged in stern practice today. They played behind locked gates. '1 lie Wanganui side were similarly engaged on another ground. The rivalry is verv keen.

At a meeting of the Wanganui Rugby Union held to-night, the following resolution was carried: That the Wanganui Rugby Union endorses the New Zealand Union Management (‘omiuittce’s decision to play the Dominion team in white at the forthcoming four tests, and respectfully requests that’ the Dominion’s traditional sportsmanship be maintained by adhering to this decision, notwithstanding the fine action ot Mr Baxter and his team in offering to change their colours.

Mr A. J. Geddes, one of the South Island selectors has announced this evening that N. Bradanovich (Otago) was not available for the trial match at Christchurch on Wednesday, and that lie would bo replaced by N. PMcGregor (Canterbury). E. Holder (West Coast) comes in as emergency.
