A mysterious explosion occurred aboard the auxiliary vessel Argil at Rorona, resulting in the destruction of the shin. While the boat was at Rorona, the captain discovered the •bodies of two natives in the hold and decided to put back to Kanosia foi their burial. Just as the vessel was sailing from the jetty an explosion occurred in the hold and the Argil was burnt to the waterline.
