DROUGHT BROKEN
DUNEDIN, May 16
After three months dry . weather rain fell yesterday and during the night but the fall was not of an appreciable quantity. At Waipori the fall was half of that in the city where a quarter of an inch was recorded at the reservoir water sheds At Waipori the main dam is still falling steadily. Restricted tram services are being run and to-mor-row no special cai’s will be available for the football crowds. On Sunday only buses will be run.
