BREAKING AND ENTERING
PALMERSTON N,, May 14
At the Magistrate’s Court, Thomas Melrose and Nelson Haves were charged Avith breaking and entering by night the premises of Thomas Jreton, a ieAveller of Cuba Street Avith intent to ; io min it a crime. Giving evidence, ■renton stated a hole Avas made in the >]ate glass window on the night of May )th, but so far as he kncAV nothing was ■stolen.
Constable Tompson desposed seeing the accused in the street on the night if the occurrence and Avben spoken ;to n the street they denied knowledge of be affair but aftenvards at the police tation they admitted the offence. The Accused pleaded guilty and Avere committed to the Supreme Court for sentence.
