STABBING AFFRAY
TWO MEN INJURED.

REEFTON, May 15.
A stabbing affray took place at Inangahua Junction, 24 miles from Reefton, last night. Two men, E. Parker and J. Dempsey, were attacked by E. S. Bcnoltz. 'liie latter made into the oush and was arrested by the Reefioii police this morning at Berlin’s, 7£ miles from the scene of the affray, and drought into Reefton.
One of the men received a wound in the throat, and the other in the head and all over the body, but the wounds are not thought to be of an extremely serious nature.

WESTPORT, May 15.
A man named Scholtz stabbed two men, Parker and Dempsey, at Inangahua Junction early this morning with an old file. It is presumed that Scholtz was demented, as immediately after the offence he took to the bush, dressed only in a singlet, Scholtz was later arrested and taken to Reefton.
