The pipe line from Lake Alpine to the claim a total distance of three miles is now completed, and has been tested out satisfactorily. It is a work of considerable mignitude, and it was a heavy job to get the material on the ground, apart from the construction, which includes the crossing of a lagoon.. The pressure industrial was 14Qlbs, and the water power was most effective in cutting a channel through a pile of old headings which were found to be gold beaiing, the pioneer miners owing to the absence of sufficient water, not having been able to obtain all the gold of the rich deposits.
