Bernhard be increased by £4O, £26, £26, and £2O respectively.”—Seconded by Mr Houston. Mr Jeffries opposed the motion, holding there was no justification for the proposed increases. The motion was opposed by Messrs Donovan, Keenan, Searle and Murdoch, and was put and lost, Messrs Wells, Houston and Chairman, voting in favour. r Mr Jeffries moved : —‘‘That the matter of the four lorry drivers be referred to the overseer for a report at next meeting.”—Seconded by Mr Keenan and carried. Mr Jeffries moved:—“That the tractor and grader be loaned to the Hospital Board for three days, when not otherwise engaged.”-—Seconded by Mr Murdoch and carried. The Committee, after discussing a subject in committee, resumed and adjourned at 4.55 p.m.
