Sir and Gentlemen,—l- have the honor to report that in accordance with the Council’s -resolution on the 9th ult., 1 attended the meeting iftt Greymouth on tho 10th ult.. relative, to Regional Planning. l,! V'• ■. , The position was explained on behalf of the Town Planning Board; of the J Dominion,' andit ;was indicated that it was proposed to form seiuirate regional areas (1) for Buller district and (2) for Grey-Westlarid district. The meeting agreed to the principle of regional planning, but the Westland representatives considered if Buller was to be declared a separate district then Westland should be also separate. The district favoured was one embracing the No. 12 Alain Highways District, including the IJulier. Inangahua, Grey and Westland Counties, with interior Boroughs, as being the most workable because of the uniformity which , would - be possible, The statement made on the matter were recorded, and after the representatives at Buller were consulted, the whole matter was to be placed before the Town Planning Board.; at Wellington to recommend the areas to be declared regional districts. When this is done the Council .. will have the opportunity of further considering the matter. ;
