SYDNEY IMPROVEMENT. (Australian Press Association.) SYDNEY, May 12. At the, wool, sales to-day the offerings were 9549 bales on. which °2?4 were sold, also 104-1 privately. -There was good, strong general competition. The market was equal to tlie best rates of last week, witli a fiirther hardening tendency on good to average fleece descriptions. Comebacks and crossbreds also met keen competition at the full late rates. n vea,sy merino fleece made 22-i pence per pound.
