A WOMAN’S DEATH

HASTINGS, May 12
A stir Avas caused at Hastings yesterday evening when Mrs S. Kennedy, 38, Avas found lj ing on a footpath in ljueen St., and avus taken to the police station Avhere she died in the SeniorSergeant’s arms. From information available it appears that the Avoman arrived Imre from Wellington on Saturday and took a room at a boarding house. About 6.30 yesterday evening she, accompanied by two men and another Avoman, Avent for a motor drive, returning at eleven o’clock. -Mrs Kennedy com plained on the way hack of not feeling too Avoll. Some difficulty was experienced in getting her out of the car on.arrival at the hoarding house. When the other Avoman attempted to take Mrs Kennedy to her room, the proprietress of the hoarding house, mistaking the deceased’s condition refused to allow her to enter. Thereupon the other Avoninn telephoned to the police and a constable arrived and took Ken-, nedv to the station, where she died within a short time. The doctor reported that death was due to natural causes. An inquest is to he hold.
