This game was p-iuyed on Cass Square .11 Saturday -a: ter noon and resulted in a win for Excelsiors /by 2:* mis (0 iries. one being converted, and a penalty goal) -to i/ poims.ui goal from a try.) Excelsiors again included their three disputed men in their team, so that there is bound to be further action by the West Coast Rugby Union a.t its next meeting.
The game was marked by the Star team being weakened by the loss of three men. A quarter of an hour after play had started when attempting to stop a rush that resulted in Excelsior’s first score Stars had the misfortune to lose the services of Coleman who suffered "an injury to his collarbone. Before half-time O'Connell (SVars) was" ordered off the field for disputing; the referee's de-' sion* and ha-if'way ’ through the second spell ( Hali .was ordered, off the field for using had language.

The above game- was played at Cobden, it being the first senior fixture on. the Cobden ground, and no doubt as the season advances these fixtures will gain in publio favour. Cobden won bv to nil. Saturday’s fixture was viewed hv a fair number of spectators. whose enthusiasm -was at a high nitch Throughout. The game, which was played at a fast and willing pace

Kiwi (hacks failed to get going, their ‘main factor (being theii hard l working set of forwards. Cobden ■ owe their 'success to, their superior combination and betttr condiition. Cobden’s score consisted of 6 tries, Eggleton (3); Sharp, Mead, Riminer, three being, converted by King.
• UNITED V. BRUNNER. United and Brunner met in tlm senior competition on the B ground at Victoria Park, on Saturday, andafter a good display, United won by 22 points to 6. Bell and Mclntosh were Brunner’s most prominent for*' wards, whilst Spiers also Was saf< in tlie back division. Wilson and Ferguson were United’s outstanding forwards .whilst Walton, Jamieson Baldwin, Gallagher and Bunt .played best in the United bsicks.
KIWI irV. ARAHURA. . This game was played on Cass Stem re and resulted in a win for Kiwis by 23 to 8. Tlie winners had the best of the iplay and deserved their win.. Trios were scored by L.
