Mr H. E. Holland, Labour Leader, opened his Dominion campaign last night when he addressed-an audience o*' I°o and had an excellent hearing.
D : *cussing the result of the Parnell election lie said :—“Nobody has anything to write home about, but Labour has satisfaction- in knowing it alone gained ground.”
He justified Labour’s action in putting United into power saying that the result df the General Election was V dear indication that the electors were tired of the Reform Government, and that the next largest party should be given an opportunity to fulfil its promises.
Mr Holland was disappointed the Uni teds had not grapnled unemployment in a prooer way. He said he could not prophesy what wo'uld take place in the coming session. Parliament might run a normal course or an election might come at the end of this or the beginning of next year.
