FOOTBALL
The position of the Excelsior Club in connection with the playing of three members who are residing in Greymouth is a matter of special interest at the present moment. At Wednesday’s meeting of the West Coast Rugby Union it was decided to aw aid last Saturday’s match to the Brunner club on the ground that the Excelsior Club had broken the rules governing ,the competition. The matter will reach a further stage on Saturday it the stated intention o>f the Excelsior Club is carried into effect, and the three players affected in last Saturday’s game are again played.
