It has just been disclosed that for the past six weeks coal has been produced by non-federation labour at two of the Northern Associated mines. Then? are at Fassfern and Terealba. It is stated the men are being paid according to the rates set down under the November compromise tennis, and la very satisfactory daily coal average is being produced. ~

A jury found four Aboriginals guilty of tbe murder of another black and a death sentence was passed. This is the first time for twelve years that a Darwin jury has returned a. verdict of guilty of murder.
TWO CHINESE SHOT. BRISBANE, May .9
A message from Cairns states two Chinese were found shot in a market garden. A large sum is stated to he missing. Horse tracks have been found.and the police are scouring the country.
