At Midhurst to-day the axemen’s championships resulted as follows: Twelve inch Taranaki Championship Chop—J. E. Shewry 1, C. Neame (West Coast) 2, M. Corbett 3. Time 15 3-o secs. This is probably a world’s record for a puketea block.
Twelve inch New Zealand Championship Chop—J. E. Shewry 1. S. Neame (West Coast) 2, P. N. Corbett 3. Time' 24 secs. Shewry wor comfortably. Fifteen inch double-handed sawing N.Z. Championship,—Dravitzski Bros 1, Blakewell Bros 2, Dodunski and sor 4. Time 11 3-ssees. '
