Newspapers in leading articles on the 20th. anniversary of the accession of King George,' emphasise that His iuajesty has seen more changes in the political, social and scientific world than any other of his predecessors, the greatest event being the late war. While other thrones have tottered and fallen the British throne stands firmer than ever before in the confidence of democracy.
The Kins visited Newmarket races to-day. His Majesty had not been on a racecourse since before his illness in 1928. He looked remarkably well and chatted with members of his party. His Majesty entered the totalisator building and watched with interest the working of the machine.
