A political crisis is looming in the Federal arena over the. Scullin Ministry’s action in abolishing preference to returned soldiers, whose leagues in all States are extremely indignant, and have expressed the intention of forcing a crisis in the Senate, where the Government’s supporters are heavily outnumbered. The Ministry is also bitterly attacked by the Australian Country Party for its alleged antiBritish attitude on migration, tariff embargo, and attempt to have an Australian appointed Governor-General.
