LAKE KANIERI BOAT CLUB
A meeting of the Lake Kanieri Boat Oxtib was held on Friday evening at Mclntosh’s'Ciub Rooms to elect officers for the ensuing year, and to receive the report and balance sheet for the past year.
The following is the list of officers elected for the coming year:—Patron, Dr Teichelmann; President, Mr W. J. Radford; Vice-President, Mr H. M. Coulson; Commodore, Mr C. Hart; Secretary, Mr J. H. W. McGeorge; Assistant Secretary, Mr E l . Richards. Amongst the members present were Messrs J. N. Robinson, E. ijackell, and J. Andrews Junr. all of whom represented the Lake Kanieri Boat Club at the Regatta of the Canterbury Outboard Club held recently at Akaroa. A hearty vote of thanks was carried by acclamation to these members, who had been successful in returning with two oi the Canterbury Cups. Mr Hacked piloted “Merry Moments” on behalf of Mr F. Andrews, winning the “Canterbury Challenge Cup” for “D” class racing, and Mr J. N. Robinson, with “Pit-a-Pat” succeeding in winning the “Canterbury Outboard Challenge Cup” for “C” class racing. Messrs Hacked and Robinson, in leplying, expressed their gratitude to the members of the Canterbury Outboard Club for the attention and hospitality they had (received while attending the Regatta, and it was resolved that a letter of appreciation be forwarded to them conveying the Clubs thanks. It was decided that the remaining two beats of the Westland Handicap contest for the Mclntosh Cup lie run off on May 24th., a Committee being appointed to make the detail airangements for that date.
