During the game another player tried to strangle an opponent and Irefused to .obey the referee, whom lie kicked heavily in the thigh. Thirteen players were seriously hurt and unable to leave the field unaided.
Jean Galie, hearing of Pradie’s death, said, “I shall never play Rugby again.” The general feeling is iliac unless prompt effective steps are taken. Rugby iii France is doomed. Ribere, the French Rugby captain, said many injuries were not duo to accidents, Rugby is too brutal.
