WORKER’S CLAIM
AGAINST HIS UNION,

AUCKLAND, May 2.
The claim for damages by a waterside worker, who alleged v victimisation against his; Union was further hearjd by Mr Justice Smith in the Supreme Court to-day. The plaintiff was Thomas Moylan, commonly known as “Paddy Miles,” a member of the Waterside Workers’ Union, and he took action against the Union and its “Walking Delegate,” .Robert Irvine, on the ground that the defendants had entered 1 into a conspiracy to prevent him from earning his'livelihood on the waterfront. He claimed damages at the rate of £0 per week from March 23, 1929, to the date of judgment; £3OO damages for Jobs suffered; and £2OO general damages, The Judge reserved his decision.
