The early closing of the Earthquake Relief Fund was foreshadowed by Hon. Ml* Atmore to-day. The credit was now very small, he said. A meeting of the Committee would be held shortly for the purpose of disposing of further claims and winding up. .Applications were still being considered,'though-the money in hand would' not go very far.
