Carlyon was in a slightly-drunken'cbh4 ditipn when he ,engaged Humphries the Quay Street stand at 4.46 p’qlock on Thursday afternoon last. He w.as taken to the Ferry Buildings, and later to Parnell. When asked for. his fare he had no money with which to pay it. Carlyon was convicted, and ed for drunkenness;'and convicted and fined £1 for failing to pay his fare. In addition he was instructed* to -pay his fair and witnesses’- expenses I,os—• £2 10s in all.
