MISSING BANKRUPT
ARRESTED AT SYDNEY.

NEW PLYMOUTH, April 29
The machinery of the law has succeeded in capturing at Sydney, Bert Thomas, a bankrupt, who decamped from New Plymouth several weeKs ago after he had been served with a bankruptcy notice.
Thomas had been engaged at ALuigorei as* a farmer, and owed about £450 to creditors. He sold his farm for about £3OOO, receiving over £IOOO in cash. Several weeks elapsed hefoi c an order of adjudication was made, and when that eventuated, and a warrant had been issued, it was found that Thomas had disappeared. Mr 11. H. Quilliam, Solicitor for the creditors, has received advice that Thomas has been arrested, and a New Plymouth constable will leave at once to bring Thomas hack under extradition proceedings.
