CAMPBELL BEATS BROOADEOOT

CHRISTCHR UCH, April 28
Alan Campbell, 12.!), of Oamaru beat dim Broadfoot, 11.11, of Auckland, in a fifteen round contest for the New Zealand heavyweight title. The bout went the full distance, but it was not up to championship standard. Campbell easily outclassed the Aucklander, who weathered a heavy storm. Broadfoot should have been knocked out time and again, but Campbell had no knock-out punch.
