The’ “Observer” gives prominence Mo a cable from Sydney, .saying Mr Scullin’s nomination of Sir Isaacs for the Governor-Generalship, has not been accepted. This lias created a. most .embarrassing situation because of the infringement of the - Royal prerogative and is also discourteous moreover, as Lord Stonehaven’s . successor, would have been the first appointment under Dominion status, and solely as the King’s representative, the name of a particularly high Ipersonage would, have been submitted.
